European Alliance of Initiatives for
Applied Anthroposophy / ELIANT

The ELIANT campaign – for greater quality of life and cultural
diversity in Europe

What is the ELIANT campaign?

The collection of 1 million signatures to support the Charter of the European Alliance of Initiatives for Applied Anthroposophy / ELIANT. See the current progress of signatures at: www.eliant.eu

Why was the Alliance founded, and why is its Charter worth supporting?

  • Increasing shift of decisive national policies and decisions to the European level.
  • Growing openness and readiness of European institutions to cooperate with representative civil society organisations
  • More political weight given to European initiatives in the Alliance such as DEMETER foods, freedom of choice in education, and free availability of anthroposophic medicines etc., which as yet have no adequate legal basis in European legislation!
  • Joining forces with partners and together strengthening creative cultural movements.

What are ELIANT’s chief concerns?

Extract from the Charter: For over 80 years, especially in the fields of agriculture, education, special needs education and medicine, products and services of high quality have been developed, and found world-wide acknowledgement and esteem. The Alliance’s task is to secure legal safeguards for such initiatives and to develop them further as a contribution towards the further shaping of Europe. The full charter can be found at www.eliant.eu. We seek collaboration with partners who have similar aims.

The most important aims of the petition are:

  • To become a positively effective civil society force in Europe
  • To forge contacts with partners who have similar aims in the fields of culture, the economy and politics.
  • To shape European legislation in a way that benefits eligible minorities.

Become our collaborative partner:

  • We are looking for partners in the fields of culture, the economy and politics
  • We support network development in as comprehensive a way as possible with organisations that have similar aims.
  • We want to further develop an international coordinator network and discuss “best practice” with you for realising common goals.
  • Help us to increase the flow of information about this campaign to different petition target groups via associations and umbrella organisations at conferences, lectures, congresses or other public events.

We’ll be pleased to answer any questions you may have.
