Kolisko Conferences

In 2006 there were 9 Kolisko conferences held around the world, due to the high number of regional requests. Kolisko conferences offer a chance for medical and pedagogical colleagues to come together to explore the role of education on health and health on education.

Kolisko conferences have been held every 4 years since 1989, however usually only in one place as a centre for people to travel to. With the need for more regionally accessible conferences, Dr Michaela Gloeckler (leader of the international medical section) and Christoph Weichert (leader of the international pedagogical section) agreed to take up this wish and the response was extraordinary. The impulse for the Kolisko conferences, developing a salutogenic approach to health, is now transforming to take the task of developing and sharing research in the field of Waldorf education and anthroposophic medicine, to lead towards an international research forum in 2009 in Dornach Switzerland.

To support this, the Foundation is calling for funding to assist in research and travel funding to ensure an equitable opportunity for colleagues to come together from all parts of the world to share findings which can be of assistance to the health of all communities.
