Medical Section

The Medical Section is part of the Anthroposophic movement, with the task to support research and development of anthroposophic medicine on an international level. The current leader of the Medial Section is Dr Michaela Glöckler.

The Medical Section at the Goetheanum is one of 11 specialist sections belonging to the School of Spiritual Science at the Goetheanum in Dornach/Switzerland.

Tasks of the Medical section include:

  • Research, development and training in relevant spheres of professional work
  • Coordination of the Section’s various activities and modes of work, and the professional fields it oversees
  • Nurturing of interdisciplinary collaboration Overview of the legal status of anthroposophic medicine in different countries.

The Medical Section work relies on funding from a share of the membership fees of the Anthroposophic Society members from around the world. However, it is clear that to advance the work beyond a purely administrative level, financial resources are needed to keep up with the growing demands as with all sections of the society. Included in the awareness of the Medical Section is the need to find sponsorship for members in financial need to attend conferences and continuing education programmes, as well as urgently needed research. We live in demanding times and the Medical section strives to meet the needs of these time. Your support, whether as a co-sponsor, or as member of the Circle of Friends will go far to further the work in this field. For more detailed information on the Medical Section.
